Ep020 - Alchemically Stoned with PD Newman

We have a particularly good episode for you all this week. We once more forgo our usual segments as Cody interviews beloved psychonaut, author and 32nd degree Master Mason, PD Newman. Just this last June, Newman released the absolutely wonderful book, Alchemically Stoned: The Psychedelic Secret of Freemasonry. Cody has been eagerly awaiting this conversation for some time, as Newman'a writings have influenced his work a great deal. Strap in and grab a notebook, because we dive deep into the history of psychedelic sacraments in Freemasonry.

On today's show, Amanda interviews Rev. Aryshta Dean regarding her work with the Egyptian Blue Lotus. They discuss the history of the Blue Lotus as an entheogen, the dangers of losing this remarkable plant forever, as well as the research suggesting potential for epigenetic changes to our DNA as brought on by responsible entheogen use. Rev. Aryshta is a very knowledgeable and well sourced researcher of ancient Egypt and Greece, as well as being a student, advocate, and defender of the sacred Blue lotus.

Ep011 - Psychedelic Mormons pt2 with Bryce Blakenagel

This week, Cody finishes out the conversation started last week with Bryce Blakenagel of the Naked Mormonism Podcast. Cody and Bryce read and dissect a research paper they've been working on, exploring evidence of psychedelic/entheogenic/sacramental drug use by the early Mormon church. Both episodes are quite lengthy, so we forgo our new segments and just dive DEEP into this groundbreaking new interpretation of Mormon history. This conversation is also posted on the Naked Mormonism Podcast as a combined podcast. Thank you to Bryce for taking care of the editing.

Cody and Bryce will be presenting this hypothesis at the 2017 Sunstone Symposium in Salt Lake City Utah, this weekend on July the 29th. Please join us in Salt Lake City should you find yourself in the area.

Over the next few weeks, we will be releasing more information as well as devoting a podcast episode on this theory, so stay tuned and please join us in Salt Lake City on July the 29th should you find yourself in the area.
